Good ole USA-made Tonka trucks. The metal ones that had lead paint and all that. The ones that pinched your fingers if you made the wrong decision.

We love to travel with our three beautiful kids and spend as much time as we can with them.

I love Frontier Bank because of the bank’s character, culture, and capacity. I have immense respect for the team and enjoy building relationships with our customers.
What do you find is the most challenging part of banking?
Changing customer demographics plays a significant role in raising customer expectations. With each new generation of banking customers comes a more innate understanding of technology and, as a result, an increased expectation of digitized experiences. We have to remain agile, pivot quickly, and innovate soundly to thrive as an industry. Our bank is built on tradition, and we are committed to delivering the same friendly personal experience they have grown accustomed to while embracing the digital world.
Do you have a pet, and what is their name?
I have a 2-year-old English Bulldog mix named Little Cupcake I adopted from the Bastrop Animal Shelter and a six-month-old Miniature Australian Shepherd mix adopted from Austin Pets Alive. My fur babies bring joy and laughter into my life.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
I would be a healer. I am so thankful for all the medical advancements in our world today, but to have the ability to heal would be the most beautiful gift of all. To some degree, we all need some sort of healing.
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy hiking, canyoneering, and reading.

I’m not much of a foodie, but my guilty pleasure is desserts.
World’s greatest dinner party, who’s on your list?
Albert Einstein, Anton Zeilinger, Stephen Hawking, Masaru Emoto, and Neil deGrasse Tyson. I would just sit in a corner and listen to them talk passionately about cosmology, quantum entanglement, nebulas, consciousness, and the universe.

Josh Petrus joined Frontier Bank in 2019 as Senior Vice President, Director of Finance and Accounting. As CFO, his responsibilities include managing and directing all accounting, financial, and reporting activities for the bank, budgeting, bank investments, interest risk management, and shareholder relations. He is a prominent contributor to the bank’s financial operations and functions that drive the company’s growth. Before joining the bank, He worked as an accountant at a South Texas Community Bank. Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Texas Corpus Christi. Outside work, Josh loves to play golf and spend time with his family and dog, Ava. Frontier Bank is excited to be equipped with a talented Chief Financial Officer who creates the frameworks to lead financial transformation and handle increasingly complex challenges.

We have horses, 14 Alpacas, 3 Llamas, 4 Dwarf Nigerian goats (Lucy and her babies, Jolene, Trudy & Charlotte), and many other animals that we love dearly.

Bolton serves as a Director of Small Business and Commercial Banking since 2019, and previous to that, he was a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking. Bolton is responsible for developing small business and commercial bankers to deliver best-in-class community banking. He is passionate about providing top-notch deposit and loan solutions with expedited service throughout Central Texas. He enjoys competitive calf roping, team roping, and bay fishing. Bolton and his wife are residents and owners of a beef cattle operation in Austin, where he raises heifers to breed and pre-conditions yearlings.

Identifies development needs across the organization and implements processes and solutions to support employee growth and promote a high-performing organization. Keeping up with technology, digitization, and digital transformation and ensuring our teams and customers always know what to expect and what is expected.
